We are renting our cabin in Maine during selected times of the summer and fall. The rental weeks run from Saturday at 1:30 PM until the following Saturday at 10:00 checkout. On certain weeks, the cabin can be rented for 2 weeks. We bought the cabin during the spring of 2003. It is a dream come true. The lake is quiet, clean, and beautiful; the sound of loons is magical. The cabin sits at the water's edge with a L shaped dock for boats; the porch makes you feel like you are sitting on the water. A hammock hangs between 2 trees. You can't see your neighbors - with 265 feet of lakefront, the privacy is tremendous. The cabin has a kitchen, living room, porch, 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 with double, the other with twin) and has 2 day beds in the living room for a total of 6 sleeping spaces. The cabin is 10 minutes from Lake Sebego in southwestern Maine, 40 min. from Portland & the coast. Driving takes 2 3/4 hours from Boston, 7 hours from Central New Jersey, and 6 hours from New York City.	Pleasant Lake is 4 1/2 miles long with some of the cleanest water in Maine The cabin sits at the water's edge and faces west so you sit on the porch 15 feet from the water and watch the sunset The lake is very quiet even in the most busy times of the year - hear the loons at night and the water lapping on the shore as you fall asleep Fishing includes trolling for deep water salmon The Lakes Region area includes restaurants, a championship golf course 10 minutes (and a new Robert Trent Jones course 50 minutes away), movies theaters (including a drive-in!), a stable for horseback riding 2 minutes away, tennis & basketball court 1 minute away, crafts stores, antiquing, farm stands, etc. all around Portland is 40 minutes away; Freeport and outlet shopping is 55 minutes away
